The Saukopf in the Alzeyer hill country is 296.4  m above sea level. NN high foothills of the Zollstock ( 300.3  m above sea level ) near Immesheim in the Rhineland-Palatinate Donnersbergkreis .

The hill is located in the southeast part of the Donnersbergkreis around 1 km southwest of Immesheim and around 700 m north-northeast of the Zollstock elevation . On the northern flank of the lightly wooded Saukopfs otherwise up to the high altitude agricultural is the protected area Saukopf (NSG no. 82498), which was founded in 1957 and is about 13 hectares. To the north, the landscape drops into the Zellertal near Albisheim , through which the western Rhine tributary Pfrimm flows , vineyards extend to the east, Ottersheim am Ammelbach to the south- east and Rüssingen to the small Wiesenbach tributary to the Ammelbach .
