from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1995/96 season was the fifth season of the Women's Chess League. SV 1920 Hofheim , OTG Gera and SK Zehlendorf were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga , but Zehlendorf withdrew the team from the Bundesliga before the first round and was the first to be relegated. The other two relegation places were occupied by OTG Gera and the Spielvereinigung Leipzig 1899 , but since SG Bochum 31 also announced their withdrawal from the Bundesliga after the season, Gera remained in the Bundesliga.
