German Chess League 2016/17 (women)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2016/17 season was the 26th season of the women's chess Bundesliga . Defending champion OSG Baden-Baden was replaced as champions by SK Schwäbisch Hall . In the previous year, with TuRa Harksheide , SV Medizin Erfurt , FC Bayern Munich and Schachgesellschaft Augsburg, four teams were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga , as two clubs withdrew with SF 1891 Friedberg and SK Großlehna , but with SK Lehrte only one of the relegated athletes was interested in a starting place. While Erfurt reached relegation, Harksheide, Augsburg and Munich had to relegate again.
