Scharrel is the name of a nature reserve in the Scharrel district of the same name in the Lower Saxony municipality of Saterland in the Cloppenburg district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 133 is 4.5 hectares . It has been under protection since December 11, 1982. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Cloppenburg.
The nature reserve is to protect a rook nkolonie with over 500 nests located in Scharrel to around one hundred year old oak trees.
