The Glittenberger Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Barßel in the district of Cloppenburg .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 233 is around 31  hectares in size. It is almost congruent with the FFH area of the same name . The area has been a nature reserve since November 7, 1998. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Cloppenburg.

The nature reserve is located near the Barßel district of Harkebrügge on the edge of the Soeste lowland . Parts of the area are swampy and boggy . Here you can find bog forests , wet bushes and wet grassland . In the lowland area of ​​the Soeste, sedge beds rich in rushes and peat moss are sometimes formed. Dune remnants with oak-birch forest and in some places sandy heaths border the damp lowland areas .

To the northeast, the nature reserve is bounded by the Soeste dike. In the south-east it borders on the district road between Westerscheps and Scharrel, in the south-west a farm road runs along the edge of the nature reserve.
