The Marka between Markhausen and Delschloot is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Friesoythe in the district of Cloppenburg .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 295 is about 34  hectares . In the south it borders the nature reserve “ Markatal ” and is otherwise largely surrounded by the landscape protection area “Markatal between Markhausen and Ellerbrock”. Parts of the landscape protection area have merged into the nature reserve. The course of the Marka river in the nature reserve is also designated as an FFH area “Markatal with Bockholter Dose”. The area has been under nature protection since January 1, 2019. The responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the district of Cloppenburg.

The nature reserve is located southwest of Friesoythe in an agricultural area. It stretches along the Marka from the crossing of the water at Markhausen to the mouth of the Delschloot at Ellerbrock . It places the watercourse with its embankments and the adjoining waterfront strips as well as partially adjacent areas under protection. The Marka runs in the nature reserve predominantly close to nature with largely natural water dynamics. It has bed and sediment structures that are typical of water bodies and is home to well-developed, flooding aquatic vegetation. The Marka is accompanied in sections by alluvial forest and wooded fringes.

The Marka is the habitat of brook and river lamprey .
