The Schwaneburg Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Friesoythe in the Cloppenburg district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 159 is 68 hectares in size. It is north of the coastal canal and federal highway 401 . A small remnant of the former Easter moor , which has been relatively little changed through use , is placed under nature protection . A little to the north is the nature reserve “ Schwaneburger Moor-Nord ” belonging to the same moor area .
The area has been a nature reserve since March 30, 1985. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Cloppenburg.
