Shirvani Gadschikurbanowitsch Muradow ( Russian Ширвани Гаджикурбанович Мурадов ; born June 20, 1985 ) is a Russian wrestler . He was the 2007 European free style light heavyweight champion.

Career

Shirvani Muradov comes from Dagestan . He has been wrestling since 1997 and is a member of the Dinamo Makhachkala sports club . The 1.81 m tall athlete is supervised by coach Iman Murza Aliew. He only wrestles in free style.

Since 2005 he has been one of the top Russian freestyle wrestlers in the middle and light heavyweight division. In 2005 he was the first Russian middleweight champion (class up to 84 kg body weight) before Saschid Saschidow . in the same year he started at the European Junior Championships in Wrocław , where he safely won the middleweight title in front of Niklos Gaglidze from Georgia , Stefan Gatsiew from Belarus and Igor Sinitsin, Ukraine .

In 2006 Schirwani Muradow was at the most important Russian wrestling tournament, the "Iwan-Yarigin" tournament "in Krasnoyarsk in the middleweight final against Adam Saitijew and was only barely defeated by 1: 2 rounds.
