Shirvani Gadschikurbanowitsch Muradow

Shirvani Gadschikurbanowitsch Muradow ( Russian Ширвани Гаджикурбанович Мурадов ; born June 20, 1985 ) is a Russian wrestler . He was the 2007 European free style light heavyweight champion.

Career

Shirvani Muradov comes from Dagestan . He has been wrestling since 1997 and is a member of the Dinamo Makhachkala sports club . The 1.81 m tall athlete is supervised by coach Iman Murza Aliew. He only wrestles in free style.

Since 2005 he has been one of the top Russian freestyle wrestlers in the middle and light heavyweight division. In 2005 he was the first Russian middleweight champion (class up to 84 kg body weight) before Saschid Saschidow . in the same year he started at the European Junior Championships in Wrocław , where he safely won the middleweight title in front of Niklos Gaglidze from Georgia , Stefan Gatsiew from Belarus and Igor Sinitsin, Ukraine .

In 2006 Schirwani Muradow was at the most important Russian wrestling tournament, the "Iwan-Yarigin" tournament "in Krasnoyarsk in the middleweight final against Adam Saitijew and was only barely defeated by 1: 2 rounds. In 2007 he switched to the light heavyweight division (up to 96 kg body weight) . he came into this immediately cope. in the spring of 2007, he won two high-profile international events. First, again, the "Ivan Yarigin" tournament and then shortly afterwards the "Yasar Dogu-" tournament in Ankara . it was also he Russian champion before Olympic champion Chadschimurad Gazalow .

The most important start for him in 2007 was at the European Championships in Sofia . He presented himself there in excellent form and became European champion with five wins in a superior style . At the 2007 World Cup, he was more experienced Chadschimurad Gazalov, preference over Shirvani Muradov.

In 2008, Shirvani Muradov won the final of the "Ivan Yarigin" tournament in Krasnoyarsk in the light heavyweight division over Khadzhimurad Gazalov on points, against which he also won the final of the Russian championship on June 6, 2008 in Saint Petersburg (0: 1, 4 : 2 and 1: 0). He won the ticket for the Olympic Games in Beijing in the Russian Wrestling Association .

At the Olympic Games in Beijing, Shirvani Muradov won over Georgi Tibilow , Ukraine , Hakan Koc , Turkey , Chetag Gasjumow , Azerbaijan and others. Taimuras Tigijew , Kazakhstan and became Olympic champion .

After Shirwani Muradov did not train fully for a few years, he tried a comeback with a view to the 2012 Olympic Games at the 2011 Russian championship. But he lost in the preliminary round against Chadschimurad Gazalow and could not place himself in the front of this championship.
