The castle Ober-Mörlen is a former castle and today the town hall of the community Ober-Mörlen ( Frankfurter Straße 31-35 ) in the Wetterau district in Hesse .

The castle was built in 1589 by Hans Georg von der Hees zu der Hees. Philipp Christoph von Frankenstein was named as other owners in 1624, Stachius von Schlitz from 1632 to 1683, and from 1683 an Imperial Baron von Wetzel. In 1684 a wall with a gate passage and in 1691 a stairwell was built.

From 1920 the castle was used as the administrative seat of the municipality of Ober-Mörlen. The palace and the entire complex were redesigned in 1966 after a roof fire (April 16, 1966) with the support of the State of Hesse and the Hessian State Office for Monument Preservation . The historical knight's hall of the inner palace complex is still preserved, the former pleasure garden , of which remains of the enclosure still exist, has been expanded into a handsome park .
