Sebastian Backer (born September 5, 1980 in Munich ) is a former German soccer player and current coach .

Career

societies

After his youth at TSV Zorneding , a sports club in the Ebersberg district where Backer learned to play football, he moved to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich in 1988 . On July 20, 1997 he was a member of the team that defeated Werder Bremen 3-0 in the final of the B-Junior Championship in Unterhaching . Backer joined the Bundesliga squad of coach Ottmar Hitzfeld through the Regionalliga team in 2000 . With the professional team, he only played three friendlies, otherwise he continued to play in the Regionalliga Süd . Dissatisfied with this fact, the Munich resident left the club and switched to the second division MSV Duisburg for the 2001/02 season . But Backer was not able to assert himself in Duisburg either and came after his second division debut on February 17, 2002 (23rd match day), in a 5-0 win in the home game against 1.FC Saarbrücken with a substitution for Steven Tweed in the 80th minute, only again in the following season 2002/03 to four second division appearances. For the second team, he played 21 league games in the Oberliga Nordrhein during the two-year membership .

For the 2003/04 season he moved to the Regionalliga Nord and played only six, in the following season 2004/05 even only two league games for Eintracht Braunschweig . At the end of the season, Eintracht Braunschweig rose to the 2nd Bundesliga as champions of the Regionalliga Nord; Backer, however, joined the SC Fürstenfeldbruck , for which he completed 51 games in two seasons in the Bayern League and scored eight goals. In his first season still ninth in the table, he was with the club in his second season, table seventeenth, synonymous with relegation to the Landesliga Süd . In this Backer continued his career, albeit with SV Heimstetten , which he left after only eight missions during the winter break. With the acquisition of the DFB-Trainer-B license, he started working in the youth field in 2006. From 2008 to 2012 Backer trained the E-Juniors of FC Bayern Munich. During this time, 2010/11 and 2011/12, he completed 19 league games with the Upper Bavarian regional top division club ASV Dachau and scored two goals. Since 2012 he has been training the U-15s at the German Football Boarding School in Bad Aibling .

National team

Sebastian Backer played 34 junior internationals (in different age groups) for the DFB and scored eight goals.

He crowned his debut in the U-16 national team on April 1, 1997 in Pforzheim in the 2-2 draw against Turkey with his first goal for this national team. He took part in the 1997 European U-16 Championship from April 28 to May 10 (6 games; 2 goals) in his own country and in the 1997 U-17 World Championship held in Egypt from September 4 to 21 ( 6 games; 0 goals). For this team he played for the first time on August 8, 1997 in Oberhaching in the 5-1 victory over the selection of Oman, the last time on March 12, 1998 in Würzburg in the 3-1 victory over the Ukraine. For the U-18 national team , he played his only international match on March 17, 1998, which was lost to Italy 4-0.
