Location of Seehof (bold) in the Iphöfer municipality
|
Seehof is a wasteland on the boundary of the Iphöfer district of Hellmitzheim in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen .
Geographical location
The Seehof is located in the northeast of the Iphöfer municipality. To the north there is an extensive forest area. There the desolations Mönchshütte and Schnackenbach are located. Further to the northeast is the Waldhof , also in the Hellmitzheim area. Immediately to the south, federal road 8 runs past the courtyard. Hellmitzheim is to the southwest. The west is taken by Possenheim , another district of Iphöfer.
history
The place name refers to the natural occurrences in the area around the farm. Presumably it is the farm near the fish ponds. It is unclear whether the vernacular or the lordly builders coined the name. The ponds were filled in during the construction of federal road 8. The lords of Rechteren-Limpurg had the property built in 1790. It was still owned by the rulers in 1834. Several field names refer to the courtyard.
