Geographical location

Bruckhof is located in the far east of the Iphöfer municipality on the Bibartbach . The area of the municipality of Markt Bibart in the Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim begins to the north . The Ziegenbach exclave is closest to Bruckhof. To the east begins the district of Oberscheinfeld , which is also in Middle Franconia. To the south is Altenspeckfeld , also part of the municipality of Markt Bibart. To the southwest is the Waldhof , part of Iphofens. The area of Markt Einersheim begins in the west .

history

The place name of the farm probably refers to a bridge. So the name can be interpreted as the courtyard by the bridge . There was probably a small passage over the Bibart. In the Middle Ages there was an important route between Possenheim and the manor house in Speckfeld . Even today the farm is called “brúghouf” in the Main Franconian dialect. At times the settlement was simply called "Pruck".

The Bruckhof was first mentioned in a document in 1386. At that time, the district judge of Würzburg appointed the knight Kraft Sebot to use the goods of the Gerlach von Hohenlohe , including the “Hof Bruck”. "Pruck (...) den hoff" is mentioned in the documented version of the Speckfelder Burgfriedens in 1414. In the same year Leonhard zu Castell received the Spitzwiese near the farm from the heirs of the Lords of Hohenlohe. The local chapel came to the Limpurg taverns at the same time.

The small chapel, which identifies the court as one of the larger in the area, belonged to the Iphofen regional chapter in the Würzburg diocese . In 1474 the large sheep farm was owned by the Limpurg taverns. A short time later, in 1495, the Würzburg Monastery acquired the feudal lordship from the Münsterschwarzach Benedictine monastery . In 1525 people from the Bruckhof also took part in the German peasant uprising. A Hoffmann zu Bruck plundered the Birklingen monastery .

The Limpurg taverns at the Bruckhof can still be found in 1532 . They held the local rule until the end of the old empire. Before 1723, the name "Bruckhof" first caught on. In the 18th century the taverns converted the farm into a dairy farm , which was run by an existing farmer. In 1780 Johann Nikolaus Dürr was sitting at the Bruckhof. Today the farm is part of the Iphofen community.

Attractions

The farm is classified as an architectural monument by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation . It is a two-storey residential stable house . The house ends with a hipped roof . The upper floor consists of plastered half-timbering. A half-timbered barn with a half-hipped roof complements the buildings of the former dairy farm. All buildings were built in the 17th and 18th centuries.
