The place is located 37 kilometers southwest of Bregenz , between the northwestern Walsertal mountains and the southeastern Walsertal mountains of the Allgäu Alps , in the anterior Kleinwalsertal between Riezlern and Hirschegg .

The composting is on the 1030 1120 meters above sea level. A. Height to the left above the Breitach , the main river of the valley, on the Riedel to the Schwarzwasserbach . The place includes the slopes from the Riezlerner Breitachbrücke in the main valley and along the municipal road into the Schwarzwassertal, which partly belong to the village of Riezlern and partly to the village of Hirschegg.
