The Schwarzwasserhütte of the Swabian section of the German Alpine Club is 1620 m above sea level. A. Höhe in the Allgäu Alps , surrounded by Steinmandl, Grünhorn and Hohem Ifen . It is partly run as a self-catering hut and is the starting point for numerous circular tours and crossings as well as ski tours in winter.
history
The first part of the Schwarzwasserhütte was built between 1914 and 1920. In 1939 an extension was inaugurated as a sleeping house, and in 1957 a connecting wing was built between the existing components.
From 1989 to 1991 a general renovation took place. In 2004 the Schwarzwasserhütte was connected to the public power grid and a sewer pipe was laid down into the valley.
