The Tannheimer Hütte is a refuge of the Allgäu-Kempten section of the German Alpine Club in the Tannheimer Mountains , in the Tannheimer Tal , in the Austrian state of Tyrol and is located above the village of Nesselwängle . It belongs to category I and offers 18 beds in the mattress dormitory as well as 20 places in a newly built adjoining hut. The hut is open from mid-May to October.
Currently (as of 2018) the hut is closed due to official regulations.
Location and access
The hut is 1730 m above sea level. A. in the middle of the Tannheimer climbing mountains Rote Flüh , Gimpel and Köllenspitze . It can be reached in about an hour and a half from Nesselwängle via the Gimpelhaus . Another 1 ½ hours walk from the mountain station of the Reutten Hahnenkammbahn.
