The Schwarzenberghütte is a refuge of Category I . It belongs to the Illertissen section of the German Alpine Club . It was built at an altitude of 1380 m and is located at the foot of the Great Thumb in the Allgäu Alps .
history
The former mountain station of a material ropeway was converted into a small refuge after World War II . In the years that followed, the hut was often expanded by members of the section.
