The Haldenseehaus is a self-catering hut of the Hohenstaufen - Göppingen section of the German Alpine Club .
location
The Haldenseehaus is located at 1150 m in the middle of the Tyrolean part of the Allgäu Alps in the Tannheimer Tal in the municipality of Nesselwängle , about one kilometer from the center to the west, in the Schmitte district near Tannheimer Straße (B199). This continues to Haller , another district of Nesselwängle.

Tour possibilities
The hut serves as a base for hiking and cycling tours in the Tannheimer Tal. The Tannheimer Tal climbing forest high ropes course is nearby . The nearby Haldensee is a swimming lake in the middle of the Tannheimer Mountains.

Winter sports
In winter the hut serves as a base for cross-country skiers , ski tourers and skiers . There is a double chairlift as well as three drag lifts and a practice lift on site. The toboggan run can be reached with the double chair lift. In addition, the Tannheimer Tal offers many ski slopes and cross-country trails. There is a small ice rink on the Haldensee .
history
The Haldenseehaus was acquired in 1962 by the Hohenstaufen-Göppingen Section of the DAV and rebuilt in 1963–64 and expanded in 1977 and 1983–85.
