history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1412 as “an dem hamergraben”.

At the end of the 18th century, Sensenhammer belonged to Diespeck. The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city ​​bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The property was owned by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth monastery in Birkenfeld as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, Sensenhammer was given house number 107 in the village of Diespeck.
