Senta Michaela Irene Wengraf , married Wengraf-Herberstein (born May 10, 1924 in Vienna ; † December 6, 2020 there ), was an Austrian theater and film actress .

Life

The daughter of an insurance director attended high school . Then an apprenticeship at the fashion school Hetzendorf where she worked as a model . But broke off the training, and then completed a stage training with the actress Dorothea Neff , as well as an acting school. In 1946 she made her debut at the Vienna Volkstheater . Further stage stations were the Burgtheater , the Nationaltheater Mannheim , the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt am Main , the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf , the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Wiener Kammerspiele and theSalzburg State Theater . She became known to the Austrian television audience ( ORF ) in the 1960s, particularly through the role of the daughter-in-law "Ilse" in the Leitner family television series . Later she often played a " saloon lady " in TV plays or theater roles .

"My life currently consists of a constant commuting from theater to theater, because I am now rehearsing for the next premiere of the Renaissance stage 'Der Chef' by Georg Fraser and must see that I get to the Apollo , where 'Fate with Music 'is being worked on. Such a double occupation has its complaints, but also its charms for an actress. Because in this way, in one evening, I play two characters in two pieces that are completely contrary. Here I am a modern young girl who is totally absorbed in work and love. From ½ ten o'clock in the evening I'll be in the Apollo as a reckless and superficial creature who cheats on his husband to my heart's content. […] The modern young girl with a heart, seriousness and the ability to sacrifice suits me better, but that doesn't make the other role less interesting. In any case, both roles offer me the opportunity to continue working on myself, and the interaction with my immediate partners, Attila Hörbiger in the Apollo and Siegfried Breuer in the Renaissance theater, gives me and hopefully you great pleasure too. "
