The season itself he ended with SaPKo Savonlinna in the Mestis , the second Finnish division. At SaPKo he also spent the entire following season .

In the 2010/11 season Nielsen played for AaB Ishockey in the AL-Bank Ligaen. There he was able to recommend himself with good performances for a contract with Lukko Rauma from the Finnish SM-liiga . In the following two years he was second goalkeeper at Lukko, but was also loaned out to teams from the Finnish second division, the Mestis , for a few games . After the 2012/13 season, his contract was initially not renewed, only in October 2013 he received another contract and was loaned to LeKi in the further course of the season.
