European Skeleton Championship 2012

The 18th European Skeleton Championship will be held on January 6th and 7th, 2012 in Altenberg . It will be held parallel to the fourth race of the 2011/12 World Cup and the 2012 European Bobsleigh Championship. When the European Championship is held during a World Cup, the World Cup rules apply to the race. For men could Martins Dukurs retract his third consecutive title in the women won Anja Huber their total fourth European title.

The numbers in brackets indicate the placements of the World Cup race, which was also ranked and in which non-Europeans also took part.

There were 26 athletes at the start, 16 of them competed for the European Championship.

Heavy snowfalls led to the subsequent cancellation of the first run, as the athletes had very unequal conditions. The decision was finally made in just one final run.
