PAC418 is the socket for the 64-bit Itanium processor from Intel , which was jointly developed with Hewlett-Packard . It was replaced by the PAC611 socket for the Intel Itanium 2 .
During the development of the Itanium chip, a slot interface (slot 3 or slot M after the Itanium development name Merced ) for connecting the processor was also discussed.
