The Snowy River National Park is a 987 km² national park in the Australian state of Victoria , 323 km east of Melbourne . In the north, the park borders on the Alpine National Park .

The park provides one of the last remaining natural habitats for the brush-tailed rock kangaroo at Little River Gorge . Over 250 native species live in the area of ​​the park, 29 of them u. a. the long-footed rabbit kangaroo and the giant pouch marten are considered threatened.

The Little River Gorge is the deepest gorge in Victoria. The Little River falls on 14 km length of 610 m on the Wulgulmerang plateau to 122 m at the confluence with the Snowy River .
