The Mount Eccles National Park is a national park in the southwest of the Australian state of Victoria , 270 km west of Melbourne and 60 km north-west of Warrnambool .

The Mount Eccles is located at the northeast corner of the park. It is the Australian volcano that was active the longest, until about 8,000 years ago. It was formed around 40,000 years ago from lava that oozed from the earth's crust.

The old volcano itself is now a rather small hill surrounded by lush vegetation and has a small, hidden volcanic lake. It is known for its adjacent lava tunnel . There are also more lava tunnels in the surrounding farmland.

In 2004 the park was added to the list of Australian Natural Monuments as part of the Budj Bim National Heritage Landscape - Mount Eccles Lake Condah Area because of its important role in Aboriginal history and its geology.
