Sophie & Magaly was a French pop duo consisting of twin sisters Sophie and Magaly Gilles . They represented Luxembourg at the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest in The Hague with the hit Papa Pingouin (German: Papa Penguin ), which brought them ninth place. The piece, which was composed by Ralph Siegel and Bernd Augener , was a chart hit in France. But already the second single was not very successful.
