Malcolm Roberts (born March 31, 1944 in Manchester , † February 7, 2003 in Addlestone ) was a British pop singer .

In the 1960s Roberts was active as an actor and musical performer . He played leading roles in the musicals West Side Story and Maggie May . His first single, Time Alone Will Tell from 1967, hit the UK charts. Also May I Have the Next Dream With You (1968) and especially Love is All (1969) were hits. With the latter he had a much acclaimed appearance at the Festival International de Canção in Rio de Janeiro in 1969. Appearances in North and South America followed. Several albums followed by the mid-1970s.

He participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 together with Franck Olivier , Diane Solomon , Ireen Sheer , Margo and Chris Roberts for Luxembourg . Despite the large number of participants, the group with Children, Kinder, Enfants could only reach 13th place. In March 1991 Roberts took part with the title One Love in the British preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 , but only reached eighth and thus last place.

Roberts died in 2003 of a heart attack near where he lived.
