Geraldine Branagan

Geraldine Branagan or Geraldine for short is an Irish singer .

Together with her band she was active in the Irish show band scene. As Geraldine & the Branagans they tried their hand at the Irish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973 . With the title Long, long ago they came in fourth place. As a solo singer, Geraldine was commissioned in 1975 by the RTL broadcaster to compete for Luxembourg in the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm . With the French-language chanson Toi , she came in fifth place.

An album was released in 1981 on which her husband Phil Coulter had also worked as a composer.
