Monique Melsen

Monique Melsen (born February 24, 1951 in Ettelbrück ) is a Luxembourgish singer and cabaret artist .

She was selected by the Télé Luxembourg broadcaster to represent Luxembourg at the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin . With the humorous hit Pomme, pomme, pomme (German: 'apple, apple, apple') she landed in 13th place. From 1972 she was part of the original line-up of the multinational pop choir Family Tree for a few years . She remained active as a singer in various bands. Since the 1990s she has played and sings in the Luxembourg cabaret group Cabarenert .
