US Highway 169 runs along the Minnesota River as the main road through the city of St. Peter. This is crossed in the city center by Minnesota State Route 99 , which crosses the Minnesota River over the Broadway Bridge on the eastern city limits. From the northeast, Minnesota State Route 22 leads into the center of the city, which it leaves again in a southeast direction over another bridge over the Minnesota River. All other roads within North Mankato are subordinate roads or inner-city connecting roads.
