The staff boatman is a rank of the Bundeswehr and former German armed forces.

The staff boat man is one of the ranks of the Bundeswehr for naval uniform wearers . The legal basis is the order of the Federal President on the rank designations and uniforms of soldiers and the Soldiers Act .

Rank badge

The rank insignia of the officer in charge show a head corner, below it a corner, both with the point upwards on both lower sleeves . The shoulder badges are designed similarly. The epaulettes are also edged with a closed braid .

history

The rank was introduced in 1955 . Promotions to staff members were suspended between 1969 and 1983.

Others

The rank designation of air force and army uniform carriers of the same rank is staff sergeant . With regard to authority, appointment , pay , the subordinate and superordinate ranks, similarly also with regard to the service positions, staff members and staff sergeants are on an equal footing.

Wehrmacht

The senior officer could be seen as a rank in the navy comparable to that of the Bundeswehr . The naval officer of the same name, on the other hand, was a long-serving boatswain below the rank of senior boatman.
