Stacherlsiedlung is a locality near St. Georgen an der Gusen in the lower Mühlviertel in Upper Austria , but as a village belongs to the municipality of Langenstein , district of Perg .

geography

The Stacherlsiedlung is located a good 13 kilometers southeast of the city center of Linz , 14 kilometers west of Perg , on the eastern edge of St. Georgen. It is located at the entrance to the Gusen valley at the foot of the Frankenberg at around 300  m above sea level. A. Höhe, about 2½ km north of the Danube .

The village of Stacherlsiedlung comprises around 60 buildings with around 230 residents. The settlement is largely overgrown with the St. Georgen localities to the right of the Gusen (Untere Breiten, Steinsiedlung, industrial park), but lies beyond the Langberg municipality boundary. Below is the L569  Pleschinger Straße , the old Hauderer Straße along the banks of the Danube.

It is named after the old Stacherlgut (Höhenstrasse 23), otherwise only the Mayrgut (Höhenstrasse 23) next to it was located here in the 19th century , and on the Schneiderhäusl (Höhenstrasse 9) and Koglhäusl (Koglberg 1) street . The Stacherl settlement did not come into being until the later 20th century and has only been run as a separate village of the municipality since the 1990s.
