The Stade Paul-Lignon is a multi-purpose stadium in Rodez , the department of Aveyron in the French region of Occitania . The stadium was built shortly after World War II. It offers 5,955 seats (4,500 seats). It is the home stadium of the AF Rodez football club and the Stade Rodez Aveyron rugby club .

The rugby team celebrated its first successes in the stadium. In the 1970s, Stade Rodez Aveyron was twice champion of the Fédérale 2 ; the fourth highest French rugby league today. In 1987 AF Rodez rose to Division 2 and reached the semi-finals of the Coupe de France in 1991 as a second division . On the way there, Rodez defeated the then first division clubs FC Metz and FC Sochaux . Only in the semi-finals they lost 4-1 away to Olympique Marseille .

In 2009, the team reached the quarter-finals of the cup as a third division team . In the second round, Rodez defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 aet; then eliminated against Stade Rennes . It is planned to renovate the stadium and expand it to 10,000 seats.
