Stavros Ioannou

Stavros Ioannou (born February 8, 1971 in Hanover ) is a composer , music producer and musician from Hanover.

Life

Stavros Ioannou was born in Hanover in 1971 as the son of Greek migrants. He discovered his love for music at the age of eight through records by Elvis Presley and AC / DC . At the age of 10 he played his first notes on a borrowed guitar and thus developed his passion for music. At the age of 12 he got his first guitar and founded a band with friends, with which he quickly attracted attention in the local scene for his virtuoso guitar playing.

At the age of 16 the renowned music studio “Peppermint Park” noticed him, where he recorded his first demo. The instrument was to occupy a large part of his life, because from then on he occupied himself more intensively with it and composed more and more songs. At 19 he gave guitar lessons at the Hanover Music School. In addition to his main instrument, the guitar, he also plays bouzouki and bass and sings.

In 1999 he got to know the songwriter, musician and producer Nils Ruzicka while recording in the Peppermint Park Studio Hanover and immersed himself in pop and rock music with him. In 2003 it was decided to further intensify the cooperation with the producer Mousse T. and merged into the Peppermint Park Studios on the Expo site in Hanover .

With the producer project “So Phat!” They subsequently developed several productions, songs and remixes. In 2004 they reached number 9 in the UK sales charts with Inaya Day and the cover version of Vanity 6 ’s Nasty Girl , and number 18 in Australia. They also released club tracks on the in-house label Peppermint Jam Records and ProgCity Records David Guetta , Tomcraft , Moguai , Phil Fuldner , Mousse T., Syke'n'Sugarstarr, Antoine Clamaran , Ian Pooley and Sharam Jey were played.
