Nils Ruzicka

Nils Ruzicka (born October 9, 1973 in Hildesheim ) is a German music producer , remixer , songwriter and musician from Hanover ( Germany ).

Career

Ruzicka was discovered by Ramon Zenker in 1993 . In his early days he created various single and remix productions with the project “Mega'lo Mania” in cooperation with Zenker. Furthermore, Ruzicka formed the projects Plug'n'Play, Revil O., Ravelab etc. in cooperation with DJs and produced the first single for DJ and producer Timo Maas .

In 1997 he received his first gold and platinum award for the project " Bellini " and their summer hit "Samba de Janeiro" through the collaboration with Ramon Zenker and Gottfried Engels . Two years later, with his cover production of the “ HIM ” single “ Join Me ” for the dance project “Lightforce”, he was placed in the UK sales charts Top 40.

In 1999 he met the songwriter, musician and producer Stavros Ioannou while recording in the Peppermint Park Studio Hannover and immersed himself in pop and rock music with him. In 2003 he decided to work closely with the producer Mousse T. and merged into the Peppermint Park Studios on the Hanover Expo site .

With the producer project “So Phat!” He developed several productions, songs and remixes for Missy Elliott feat. Ludacris , Roachford , Tom Jones , Bootsy Collins , Warren G , Zucchero , Simple Minds , Mousse T. , Rosenstolz , Yvonne Catterfeld .

In 2004 he entered the UK sales charts with Inaya Day and the cover version of Vanity 6's "Nasty Girl" at number 9 and in Australia at number 18. On the in-house label Peppermint Jam Records and ProgCity Records, he also released Clubtrax played by David Guetta , Tomcraft , Moguai , Phil Fuldner , Mousse T. , Syke'n'Sugarstarr , Antoine Clamaran , Ian Pooley and Sharam Jey .

In 2008, Ruzicka decided to return to the "freelance path" and later met the producer and songwriter Mirko Schaffer. In the following year they produced in a team for major label topics such as Cinema Bizarre , Baschi and Michelle Leonard . With the help of Mirko Schaffer, Ruzicka got in touch with Dirk Reichhardt and worked with him on the soundtrack for the film Zweiohrküken .

With the artist Baschi and his single "Immortal", he achieved a placement at No. 31 in the German and No. 11 in the Swiss sales charts. His song “Auf grosser Fahrt” also reached number 24 on the Swiss sales charts and became the anthem for the Swiss national soccer team's EM qualification. The album "Auf Grosser Fahrt" made it to number 2 on the Swiss sales charts and stayed in the Top10 for weeks.

Ruzicka also produced rock / punk albums for bands such as Gigantor, Fat Belly and, in early 2010, Simpletones.

On the occasion of the film comedy Kokowääh (2011), Ruzicka produced remixes of the title Snowflakes by the US band White Apple Tree together with Til Schweiger and Mirko Schaffer . The single made it to number 31 in the German Media Control Charts.

At the beginning of 2012 Paul van Dyk released the song Love Ammunition on his album Evolution , which Ruzicka had co-written, in a featuring with Michelle Leonard . In the course of the same year he co-produced the album Dom by German-speaking artist Joachim Witt for Sony Music Germany. Furthermore, his remix for the German punk rock band Die Ärzte and their single M&F was released in June 2012 and achieved high placements in various dance charts.

For the film Kokowääh 2 , Ruzicka produced music and a remix by Daniel Nitts Castles for Four Music in 2013 . In the summer of the same year his single production The best is yet to come for the Hanoverian rock band Terry Hoax was released.

In 2014 Ruzicka founded the digital dance label Devilfish Records together with his partner Andreas Dohmeyer and released the track Christopher Blake feat. Jenny Karr “White Nights” as first single. In collaboration with the American songwriter and singer Jennifer Karr ( Jennifer Lopez , ATB , Paul van Dyk etc.) he wrote the song and then produced it with the German EDM newcomer DJ Christopher Blake. At the same time he began to work as a co-producer for the internationally successful German DJ and producer SESA. In the summer they released the EDM track AiAiAi first on the digital dance label SESA Recordings and then in July on the number 1 dance label Kontor Records .

In the first half of the same year Ruzicka started working for the German newcomer singer Sydney Eggleston. Hit that drum was released as the first single, which quickly enjoyed great success in German airplay. This was followed by extensive playlists on radio stations such as Radio FFN, Radio N-Joy, Radio RSH, Antenne Niedersachsen and others, and the single release was then crowned with "Newcomer-of-the-month" status on the youth broadcaster N-Joy Radio of the North German Radio.

In 2015 he co-produced the album Human for Michael Patrick Kelly aka Paddy Kelly , on which he also co-wrote some of the songs. The album was released on May 15th by Sony Music and entered the German Media Control album charts at number 3 after the first week of sales.

Michael Patrick Kelly's album Ruah , which he produced together with the artist, reached number 12 in the German Media Control Album Charts in 2016. In the same year Ruzicka produced and wrote various film scores, including a. for the films SMS für Dich (International Release), Gut Zu Vögeln , Radio Heimat etc. The artist Zucchero published the title La tortura della luna on his album Black Cat , which Ruzicka had written together with Stavros Ioannou and the artist. The album achieved platinum status in Italy and gold in Austria.
