Stefan Merki

Stefan Merki (* 1963 in Baden AG ) is a Swiss actor . He is active in cinema and television as well as in the theater.

Life

Merki completed an acting degree at the University of the Arts in Berlin . He played his first theater role in 1989 in the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz . From 1990 to 1994 he was seen in various roles in the Schillertheater . This was followed by guest engagements at the Theater Aachen , where Merki played the title role in Bertolt Brecht's Arturo Ui , and at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg with a role in Mother Courage . From 1996 to 2001 Merki was employed by the Deutsches Schauspielhaus . Since 2001 he has been part of the ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele .

In addition to his work at the theater, Merki is also active as an actor in film and television. He had his first roles from 1989 to 1991, a. a. in the films Daedalus and dodger by Oscar winner Pepe Danquart .
