history

In a document from 1452 of the "Stainmühle" is mentioned. In 1557 a Lienhard Stainmüller was sitting on the stone mill; he had to pay dues to Engelhard von Ehenheim . In 1574, "Stainmüller v (on) d (er) Stainmüll" was a Hans Mair who was under the control of Geyern Castle . Until 1600 the stone mill paid interest in the Raitenbuch office in Eichstätt ; When the Ehenheimers died out in 1599, it came to Brandenburg . A recess 1607 between the Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach and the taverns of Geyern had to the conclusion that the mill as a free title was recognized of giving.

Around 1678 the mill is described as follows: “Michael Rudmann, Müller, lives in a mill between the Banzer mill and the piston mill, with two grinding and one tanning aisles, with a saw, basket, barn and pigsty. Cellar, oven and well; ”next to the barn was a“ little spice garden ”. The property was parish in the Evangelical Lutheran parish in Nennslingen and had to pay the blood tenth there . A "Herrergeld" of 45 kreuzers, the carnival hen, the wages and the "stately grain" were to be delivered to the office box in Geyern .

The Oberamt Stauf-Geyern became Prussian in 1792. With the end of the Holy Roman Empire , the mill with "Nensling" - the official spelling until 1875 - came to the Kingdom of Bavaria in the former Principality of Ansbach and from 1809 to the Raitenbuch regional court and from 1812 to the Greding regional court . Half a century later there was another change in the administrative affiliation: On October 1, 1857, the wasteland with Nennslingen and six other communities was rededicated from the Greding district court to the Weißenburg district court , from which today's Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district developed.

Initially, the stone mill was assigned to the tax district Nennslingen by the royal rescript of August 7, 1808, together with four other mills, the Kappelhof , Burgsalach , Pfraunfeld , Indernbuch and Nennslingen . This was redesigned in 1811 with the exclusion of Burgsalach, Pfraunfeld and Indernbuch to a rural community (rural community) Nennslingen.

As a result of the great economic recession, triggered by the Napoleonic Wars , the mill was transferred from the property of the Meyer family (since 1743) to Johann Georg Weglehner from Reinwarzhofen through broker Marx Löwy Lang . In 1859 it was auctioned again. The mill property has been owned by the Schellermann family since 1868.

Since May 1, 1978, the formerly independent communities Nennslingen (with the Steinmühle and other districts), Biburg , Gersdorf and Wengen have been united in the market Nennslingen as part of the municipal reform .
