Stine Jørgensen (born September 3, 1990 in Dronninglund ) is a Danish handball player who was part of the squad of the Danish national team.
Career
In the club
Stine Jørgensen started playing handball at the age of five with the Danish club Dronninglund IF. At the age of 16, the back player Aalborg joined DH , where she was initially active in the youth field.
Jørgensen was used from 2008 in the women's team of Aalborg DH, which competed in the Danish top division. With Aalborg she won the Danish runner-up in 2009. In the following season she took part in the EHF Champions League for the first time. In November 2012 she signed a three-year contract with FC Midtjylland Håndbold from the 2013/14 season . With FCM she won the Danish Championship in 2015, the Danish Cup in 2014 and 2015 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2015 . From the 2017/18 season she played for Odense Håndbold . For the 2020/21 season she moved to the German Bundesliga club SG BBM Bietigheim .
In the national team
Jørgensen initially played for the Danish youth and junior national team. With these teams she won the bronze medal at the U-18 World Cup in 2008 and finished 13th at the U-19 European Championship in 2009.
Jørgensen went hunting for goals for the Danish national team on September 24, 2010. The 2011 World Cup in Brazil was their first major tournament. She scored five goals in nine games and finished fourth with Denmark. A year later she was a member of the EM squad . During the tournament, the Dane scored 25 goals in seven games. Jørgensen's greatest success so far in her international career was at the 2013 World Cup in Serbia when she won the bronze medal. Furthermore, she took part in the EM 2014 , WM 2015 , EM 2016 and EM 2018 . At the EM 2016, she finished second in the scorers list with a total of 47 goals.
