Trine Østergaard Jensen (born October 17, 1991 in Galten ) is a Danish handball player who belongs to the squad of the Danish national team.

Career

In the club

Trine Østergaard Jensen started playing handball in her place of birth near Galten FS, where she also played soccer in the beginning . From the 2007/08 season she continued her career in Ikast . From the 2009/10 season, the left-hander belonged to the extended squad of Danish first division club FC Midtjylland Håndbold . In 2010 she was finally signed by FC Midtjylland Håndbold. With the FCM she won the Danish Championship in 2011, 2013 and 2015, the EHF Cup in 2011 and the European Cup Winners ' Cup in 2015 . She also won the Danish Cup in 2012, 2014 and 2015. The Dane contributed six goals to her 28:21 final victory over KIF Vejen in the 2012 cup final . In summer 2017 she moved to Odense Håndbold . For the 2020/21 season she moved to the German Bundesliga club SG BBM Bietigheim .

In the national team

Trine Østergaard Jensen initially played for the Danish national junior team. For Denmark, she ran at the U19 European Championships in Hungary in 2009 , where she finished 13th. In this tournament, the winger scored a total of 13 goals.

Trine Østergaard Jensen has been chasing goals for the Danish national team since April 2011. With the Danish squad she took part in the 2013 World Cup in Serbia . During the tournament she scored 21 goals in nine games and won the bronze medal. Furthermore, she took part in the EM 2014 , WM 2015 , EM 2016 , WM 2017 and EM 2018 .
