The Stixwörth nature reserve is located in the Germersheim district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 150 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1983 , extends northeast of the local community of Neuburg am Rhein directly on the east-flowing Rhine . To the north is the Daxlander Au polder and the Goldgrund nature reserve . The state road L 556 runs along the western edge of the area .

Protective purpose is to preserve the wetland areas with the enclosed therein Altrheinzug and former Schluten with there and also present in the flood area of the Rhine waste wood stocks , landing areas , reed and sedge areas as locations of rare plants and plant communities as well as the habitat of rare species and for scientific reasons.
