Stone Broken is an English rock band from Walsall .

history

The band was formed in 2013 from the remains of two groups. Singer and guitarist Rich Moss had previously withdrawn from the music business after a member of his by-name band died of excessive alcohol consumption . After working as an analyst , Moss founded the band Stone Broken together with guitarist Chris Davis, bassist Kieron Conroy and drummer Robyn Haycock. In 2014 the band released the self-financed EP The Crow Flies and played numerous concerts in the West Midlands . On January 29, 2016, the band released their debut album All in Time , which was produced by Welshman Romesh Dodangoda. Dodangoda previously worked with bands such as Motörhead , Bring Me the Horizon and Funeral for a Fried . A longer tour through Europe followed, with Stone Broken for bands like Nashville Pussy or Inglorious . At the 2016 Planet Rock Awards , Stone Broken took second place in the Best New Band category .

In early 2017 Stone Broken recorded their second studio album. Again the album was produced by Romesh Dodangoda and recorded in Cardiff . After the recordings, the band toured Europe in support of Glenn Hughes and Living Color and played at the Download Festival in the summer . In the meantime, the band was nominated at the Planet Rock Awards 2017 in the categories Best British Band and Best British Album , but the prizes went to Iron Maiden and the Black Star Riders, respectively . In October 2017 the Finnish record label Spinefarm Records signed the band. The second studio album Ain't Always Easy was released on March 2, 2018 and entered the UK album charts at number 37. At the same time the band starts their first headlining tour through the United Kingdom.

Stone Broken play a mix of hard rock and post-grunge . The band is compared with artists such as Nickelback , Theory of a Deadman , Black Stone Cherry , Alter Bridge , Shinedown or the Foo Fighters .
