Teresa Madruga

Teresa Maria Madruga Carvalho (born March 18, 1953 in Ilha do Faial , Azores ) is a Portuguese actress .

Life

She was on stage for the first time in 1976 in a play by Fernand Crommelynck at the Teatro da Trindade . She played mainly theater, in the 1980s for example in the Teatro da Cornucópia with Luís Miguel Cintra . After that, the film roles increased and their theater engagements decreased.

She made over 30 films, including a. with António-Pedro Vasconcelos , Manoel de Oliveira , João César Monteiro , João Canijo , José Álvaro Morais , João Mário Grilo , Fernando Vendrell , João Botelho , Fernando Lopes and António da Cunha Telles . Her leading role alongside Bruno Ganz in In the White City by Alain Tanner brought her international attention and film roles in Spain, France and Italy in 1983.
