The territorial prelate Chota ( lat. : Territorialis Praelatura Chotensis ) is in the north of Peru located Roman Catholic territorial prelate based in Chota.
The territorial prelature of Chota was established on April 7, 1963, subordinated to the Archdiocese of Piura as a suffragan and looked after by Spanish Augustinians .
The territorial prelature includes the province of Chota and the province of Cutervo of the Departamento de Cajamarca .
