The Batman is an American animated television series by Warner Bros. Animation based on the DC Comics of Batman was produced. It ran first from September 11, 2004 to March 13, 2006 in the early program on Saturday at The WB and later from September 23, 2006 to March 22, 2008 on its successor The CW . In Germany, the first two seasons of the series, a total of 26 episodes, were broadcast on RTL II on weekdays from June 22 to September 1, 2005 .
The series adopts many elements from earlier Batman stories, but does not follow the continuity of the comic books, the film series, the animated series Batman and its spin-offs. The character designs were created by Jackie Chan Adventures artist Jeff Matsuda , who also staged the ending. The series won six Daytime Emmy Awards .
