Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders (English for about Batman: Return of the Crusaders with cape ) is an animated film about the comic book character Batman and is based on the named after the title character live-action series from the 1960s.

Batman and Robin face the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman while trying to steal a device that they can use to double things. However, the villains manage to escape. When Batman and Robin track them down in their hiding place, they end up in a death trap - an oversized package of frozen food moving towards an oven. Catwoman gives Batman one more chance and gives him a poison that is supposed to turn him into a villain, but it doesn't seem to work. After the two superheroes have freed themselves, they find no trace of the four super villains worldwide for a long time until they realize that they may be in space, especially since a rocket with four astronauts was recently launched. In their space station, their enemies get into an argument when Batman arrives because the Riddler, the Penguin and the Joker believe that Catwoman has let her feelings for Batman overwhelm her and betrayed her hiding place to him. They shoot their accomplice into space, but she is saved by Batman. There is another battle, with Batman acting much more aggressively. Joker, Penguin and Riddler end up in jail, but Catwoman is acquitted for helping Batman.
Over time, it becomes increasingly clear to Robin in his civil identity as Dick Grayson that Catwoman's Venom did work, but delayed: As Bruce Wayne, Batman first throws his aunt Harriet, who almost discovered his secret, and finally in his anger over it even Alfred and Dick out. Then, as Batman, he uses the confiscated ray cannon to reproduce and fill numerous positions in the city with Batman doppelgangers, since he believes that Batman can do everything better. Robin is forced to team up with Catwoman, who still has an antidote for Batman. They make their way to the bath cave and face Batman, who can however counter all attacks from Robin and even has an antidote to Catwoman's antidote. He locks her in a death trap, in which Catwoman and Robin are slowly driven into a nuclear reactor. By chance they escape.
Batman has now prepared all of Gotham's televisions and wants to appear live on television on his favorite show. Catwoman and Robin attack him and the other Batmen again, but this time not alone: they have helped every super villain in town (with the exception of the Joker, the Riddler and the Penguin) to escape and recruited them to fight the Batmen. However, Batman and his doppelgangers are superior. He decides this time not to kill Catwoman and Robin with sophisticated death traps and a small mistake that allows them to escape, but to kill them with his own hands. At that moment a man gives him a bottle with a greeting card, supposedly a gift from a suitor. When Batman drinks it, he goes back to normal. The man who brought him the antidote was Alfred in disguise. He and Batman had a contingency plan: should Batman fire him one day, it could only be done through some kind of mind control, which Alfred had prepared for.
Suddenly the doppelgangers turn to dust. The effect of the beam was apparently temporary. Batman and Robin learn that the Joker, the Riddler and the Penguin have also crumbled to dust in prison. They realize that they didn't arrest the real villains, only their doppelgangers. Her plan was that Batman's ego trip would distract him and Robin and that they could now loot Gotham's museums.
Together with Catwoman, Batman and Robin take on the pursuit of the three. On a zeppelin there is a final fight in which Batman and Robin push the Riddler, the penguin, and the Joker one after the other from the zeppelin.The Riddler falls onto a police car, the penguin ends up in a fish shop and the Joker is hit by a wagon full of clowns in the circus - Police brought out of the ring. Catwoman tries to escape with her prey, but Batman intercepts her and asks her to give up her criminal life while Catwoman tries to win him over as a partner. Eventually, Catwoman leaves the prey behind and jumps off the zeppelin into a chimney.
Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson end up having a surprise party for Aunt Harriet, pretending this is the secret Harriet shouldn't discover. When the bat signal reappears in the sky, they withdraw into the bath cave under a pretext.

In March 2015, Adam West and Burt Ward , actors from Batman and his partner Robin from the 1960s TV series Batman , announced that a cartoon would be released in 2016 in which they slip back into their roles from the TV series. The year 2016 marks the 50th year since the series was first broadcast. However, the cast left it open whether the film would be a two-parter or not.
In August 2016, the first movie trailer was released through the online edition of Entertainment Weekly magazine. In the same month, IGN published the official synopsis of the film. In addition to West and Ward, Julie Newmar returns to her role as Catwoman . As in the real-life version of the series from 1966, Batman keeps the world in suspense , in addition to Catwoman, the Riddler , the Joker and the Penguin will together form the antagonist team. The digital release was announced for October 11, 2016; the DVD and Blu-ray release was scheduled for November 1, 2016. A few days after the trailer was released, the premiere was announced for October 6, 2016 at New York Comic Con . In addition, on September 10, 2016, Warner Bros. announced a theatrical release for select movie theaters in the United States to show the film on October 10, 2016. Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will be shown in various Australian cinemas on October 8th and 9th .
