The songs on the album were recorded at two live performances by the band on November 4 and 5, 1999 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco and the Gibson Amphitheater , Universal City . The songs played come from the three previously released studio albums Enema of the State (nine tracks), Dude Ranch (five tracks) and Cheshire Cat (two tracks). The album also includes the studio recording of the song Man Overboard .

The production of the album was taken over by the music producer Jerry Finn , who also produced blink-182's studio album Enema of the State .

Overall, the album was able to recover with one interruption stay in the top 100 for six weeks. In the United States, the live album reached position 8 and stayed in the charts for 17 weeks.
The song Man Overboard was released as a single , but it did not make it into the charts.
