The Unibet Masters was an invitation tournament in darts and was held for the fifth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from January 27th to 29th, 2017 . The venue for the third time was the ArenaMK in Milton Keynes .

The defending champion was Michael van Gerwen from the Netherlands , who won the tournament again for the third time.

The tournament was played in the mode Best of Legs or First to Legs and the game variant Double-Out .

The player who throws exactly 501 points first wins a leg . The last throw of a leg must be on a double square.

Tournament course

The tournament was played in a knockout system .

Game mode in the 1st round, the round of 16 on January 27 and 28, 2017, was a best of 19 legs . The 8 winners of the round of 16 advanced to the quarter-finals on January 29th. A best of 19 legs was played there again. The two semi-finals and the final of the Masters 2017 also took place on January 29, 2017. The games were played in the Best of 21 Legs mode.
