This discography is an overview of the musical works of the British glam rock - band The Sweet and its offshoots such as Andy Scott's Sweet . According to the sources and record awards, the band has sold more than 15.5 million records to date, over 1.3 million of them in their homeland alone. The Sweet's most successful releases are the singles Co-Co and Fox on the Run , each with around two million units sold. All chart hits up to and including Turn It Down in 1974 were written by the songwriter duo Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn . The quartet from Middlesex wrote all other hit parade successes of the 1970s themselves.

In Germany, the band is one of the most successful singers in the single charts with its eight number one hits . Until 1982, the band ranked second among the performers with the most number one hits in Germany, only the Beatles had more number one successes to date (11). First, Boney M. caught up in 1979, followed by ABBA in 1980 , which passed two years later with another number one hit, with Boney M. and The Sweet now ranking third. They occupied this place in the all-time ranking until 2019, when the two rappers Capital Bra and Samra passed them. Since then they have been ranked fifth among the performers, with the most number one hits in Germany. With 36 weeks at the top of the chart, the band ranks sixth in terms of the longest time spent there. In addition, with 15 top 10 hits, the band is one of the performers with the most top 10 hits in Germany .
