Thomas Schenkel (born May 20, 1985 in Rosenheim ) is a German ice hockey player who last played for EC Bad Tölz in the DEL2 .

Career

The 1.79 m tall striker began his career in the youth of Adler Mannheim , from 2001 he was on the ice with the young eagles in the German junior league. In the 2002/03 season the left-handed shooter was finally used by the Eagles in the DEL, but most of the time he spent with cooperation partner SC Bietigheim-Bissingen in the 2nd Bundesliga as well as with the Young Eagles.

In the 2003/04 season Schenkel played for the Landshut Cannibals in the 2nd Bundesliga, after the season he signed a contract with the Eisbären Berlin . The Brussels residents won leg 2006 German championship , but was mostly the farm team Eisbären Berlin Juniors in the league used. For the 2006/07 season , Schenkel moved to league competitor EV Duisburg, for whom he played until 2009. After the Füchse bankruptcy, the striker went to ERC Ingolstadt for the 2009/10 season . There he had a try-out contract that expired on October 31, 2009 and was not extended. He then signed a contract with Herner EV until the end of the season , for which he had already gone on the ice with a production license during his time in Duisburg. In November 2009 he received a production license from the Kölner Haien , for which he was used in seven games in the DEL.

For the 2010/11 season , Schenkel moved to the 2nd Bundesliga to Starbulls Rosenheim , before joining the Löwen Frankfurt in the summer of 2011 .

Between 2013 and 2018 Schenkel played for EC Bad Tölz in the Oberliga and DEL2 .

International

For the German junior national teams , Thomas Schenkel completed the U18 Junior World Championships in 2002 and 2003 and the U20 World Cup in 2004 .
