Thomas Wupper

Thomas Wüpper (born March 19, 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German actor.

Life

Wüpper studied acting at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum from 1986 to 1990. At the beginning of his acting career from 1989 to 1995 he was engaged in the theater at the Schauspielhaus Bochum . In the course of his career to date as a theater actor, Wüpper has worked with many renowned playwrights and theater directors in the German-speaking area, including Heiner Müller, Frank-Patrick Steckel, BK Tragelehn, Jürgen Gosch, Bettina Fless, Wolf Redl, Reinhild Hoffmann and Niels-Peter Rudolph . Wüpper played in numerous roles from classical theater literature to modern times and appeared in plays by Moliere, Lessing, Shakespeare, Brecht, Büchner and Karge, among others. During his theater engagement, Wüpper already took on a number of film roles. In 1993 he played a bigger role as a football hooligan in Adolf Winkelmann's film Nordkurve . An SS man in the cinema production Schtonk by Helmut Dietl. In 1994 he starred in the international cinema production The Sunset Boys (directed by Leidulv Risan) with well-known stars such as Robert Mitchum , Cliff Robertson , Hanna Schygulla and Ingrid van Bergen . 1999 in the cinema production Der Krieger und die Kaiserin (directed by Tom Tykwer).
