Titular diocese of Hippo Diarrhytus
The Diocese of Hippo Diarrhytus ( Italian diocesi di Ippona Zarito , Latin Dioecesis Hipponensis ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a lost bishopric in the ancient city of the same name (today Bizerta ), which was in the Roman province of Africa proconsularis (today northern Tunisia ). The bishopric was assigned to the ecclesiastical province of Carthage .
